What’s the deal with terrorism? The Department of Homeland Security summarizes the views of 34 different teams of social scientists here. Recommendations range widely. The authors advocate everything from encouraging empathy to making it harder for terrorists to provide social services.
Economists often blame the media for spreading the misconception that economists can’t agree on anything. From the looks of things, social scientists who study terrorism really do deeply disagree.

What terroism – Half the terrorists on the plane seem to be alive in Saudia Arabia – the other half may or may not have ever existed. 4000 Israelis got a call from Odago and decided to take the day off. Two huge building melted to the ground using kerosene and paper – are you sure this even happened? When I saw the live show and saw both building do identical verticle drops, I said BS, every engineer in America must have had a similar reaction. Are you guys libertarians – and you believe this garbage, I thought you were supposed to be the critical thinkers out there.

One can only hope that the above comments are a pathetic attempt at sarcasm. God help us if the author is dead serious.

That’s right. A dissenter should not be honored merely for disagreeing with the consensus view. Such an individual is obligated to provide valid reasons for their dissent.
